Resurrection: A true story of Power and Forgiveness

Author(s): Pat McDermott

BIOGRAPHY

An Innocent Man written by Patricia McDermott tells the tragic true story leading up to the death of her younger brother, Matthew, at just 28 years old. Matthew's dream was not uncommon. The plan was to get out of Sydney and settle down in the small country town of Temora NSW. His dream was to eventually buy a little farm, start his career as a high school teacher in a small town, and have a family. A simple plan you would think. Matthew lasted in Temora for just 6 months. Patricia's memoir reveals the untold stories from Temora. Using a collection of family and friends' recollections, as well as witness statements and official reports, we learn the power of four young girls and a closed minded community, a common attitude of guilty until proven innocent, the blinded eyes of those who are supposed to help and how a young man's life can be ruined in a split second.
